10 Things I'm Loving so far in 2021 - Monthly Check-In

Happy Tuesday! I pray that everyone out there who may stumble upon this post is having a wonderful week so far. It's oddly refreshing that the year that felt like it would never end is finally over and we are almost 3 months into 2021. There's nothing like the promise & hope of a new year to reset the pace and start over. Despite the day-to-day craziness we all endure, I've made it a goal to just keep focusing on the good. With that being said, I felt it was befitting to make my second blog post of 2021 to reflect on what I've been loving so far this year. There is always a bit of good out there, right?!  1. Netflix & Youtube - This is a given but even more lately. I've made it a goal to try to get through my list on Netflix, so far so good! I had a ton of movies that were piling up and ironically, most evenings I'd still sit there going "I have no idea what to watch" lol. Anyone else been there? Well now, I am focusing in on my list and so fa...

2020 WTH - Monthly Check-In

Hello to anyone out there dropping by! I appreciate you taking the time to stop by my little corner of the internet. First off, the last time I wrote on my blog was in February and a lot has happened since February. So let's get into this tea. Where do I even begin. 2020 started off "okay" to say the least. I was wrapping up wedding planning and mentally preparing for all the remaining things that I needed to get done in the next few months as the wedding and moving into our new home got closer. I was honestly starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with the long to-do-list I had but I was making it work. Aside from being slightly overwhelmed, I was so excited that my wedding year was finally here. 2020 was going to be MY YEAR! ... Then the Universe was like...."Or Nah". By February, things were on the up-and-up. I made the final plans with the wedding venue, booked my shower location, booked the rehearsal dinner location and while it was now Winter, our house w...

New Year? What Else is New

Well, here we are, a week into 2020. Wow. New Year, New Decade. A whole new blank slate to have a bigger, better year than the one before. I left 2019 feeling a bit, done. I was mentally and emotionally exhausted and on top of that I got my first cold in 5 years, yes, FIVE! Luckily, I work for a school, so we got 2 weeks off and I was able to rest. Resting is not my thing, so this was hard. The only downfall is, there's nothing like having time off work and having to get back into a routine after sleeping in til 10am for 2 weeks. I feel like I've been waiting for 2020 for a while now, being that this is the year I get married and move into my new home! Lots of big, wonderful changes are coming my way. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous, not to get married but just hoping everything falls into place and all the things we've been planning for the last two years (like our wedding) goes smoothly and stress free. DID YOU HEAR THAT UNIVERSE, STRESS FREE....

Hello, October 2019

It's October ! I can't believe that we are at the tail of end 2019 already. First of all, I love the Fall 🍁which I mentioned in my weekly favorites last week, so I'm all for the fact that it is October.  What I'm not all for is the fact that it has felt more like Spring lol. I need the leaves to begin to fall, chillier temperatures (but not freezing), sweaters, scarves and way less rain. Then it will feel like Fall to me.  On the other hand, it is starting to get darker earlier, which usually is a true indicator of Fall.  Daylight saving is around the corner, and I can't pass up an extra hour of sleep.  Something about transitioning into a new season makes me so tired, it's like my body is trying to figure out what the heck is going on. I'm hoping in the upcoming weeks to get back in the swing of things and get my Fall routine going! Slowly but surly it'll happen. Never fails that I'm always a few weeks late to getting in the groove of seasonal ...
