Hello, October 2019

It's October! I can't believe that we are at the tail of end 2019 already. First of all, I love the Fall 🍁which I mentioned in my weekly favorites last week, so I'm all for the fact that it is October.
What I'm not all for is the fact that it has felt more like Spring lol. I need the leaves to begin to fall, chillier temperatures (but not freezing), sweaters, scarves and way less rain. Then it will feel like Fall to me.

On the other hand, it is starting to get darker earlier, which usually is a true indicator of Fall. Daylight saving is around the corner, and I can't pass up an extra hour of sleep. Something about transitioning into a new season makes me so tired, it's like my body is trying to figure out what the heck is going on. I'm hoping in the upcoming weeks to get back in the swing of things and get my Fall routine going! Slowly but surly it'll happen. Never fails that I'm always a few weeks late to getting in the groove of seasonal changes. Let alone all changes.

September felt like a blur honestly. The month dragged along and every weekend I had some social outing going on. I'm not complaining at all, just saying, this girl is tired! I'm looking forward to seeing what October has in store. I have a whole list of Fall things I want to do, like go to the Cider Mill, check out some Museums and there are a few movies that I want to check out too. Let's not forget that the Holiday season is coming, and I am all for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can not wait! So much to be thankful for.
I'm looking forward to cheesy Holiday movies, warm blankets, a hot cup of tea and spending time with my loved ones.

This time of year I really start to reflect on ways to make the next year even better, things I need to work on, and ways to grow. I also think a lot about how luckily I am to have had another year with my family and friends. Sometimes it's the little things that spark so much joy. Something about this season has always felt so familiar and so special for me. Here we go October... please be good!

I'm a Christian But ... - Tea Talk

Happy Tuesday to those who have taken the time to stop by my little corner of the internet!  Whelp, I'm about to get deep. Fair warning.  Recently, I have been thinking more & more about how awesome God is to love us despite our many flaws. He made us in his image and continues to love and protect us even though most days, we fall short.  My family has always been believers in God. While we may not have always been avid church goers, I have always known who God was and that everything I have is thanks to him. My Mom has always been a prayer warrior, and instilled in me very young to PRAY and seek God for everything. Every night I find her on her knees praying before bed. If I could describe an earthy Angel, it would be my Mom. Speaking of Angels, I think of my Paternal Grandfather, who we called Papa. He was a man of faith through & through, most of his days were spent reading his Bible, that he read front to back time and time again. As he got older, he would li...

Disney + - Friday Favorites

This weeks Friday Favorites is dedicate to Disney + , the new streaming service that launched on Tuesday! First of all, YASSSSS! My childhood favorites are all being housed in one streaming service. I'm seeing shows and movies that I haven't seen in years. What's even better is that they're offering a bundle deal where you can get Hulu and ESNP Watch along with Disney Streaming. Mind blown. Let's get into all the shows I've already added to my watch list: Disney  The Sounds of Music - All time Favorite that never gets old! Rip Girls - Childhood throwback, giving me all the surfing vibes.  Johnny Tsunami - Childhood throwback, giving me more surfing vibes.  The Thirteenth Year - Childhood throwback, about a boy turned into a sea creature.  Smart house - Childhood throwback, about a super tech savvy house gone wrong.  Don't Look under the Bed - Childhood throwback, giving you the cheesy scary vibes.  The Color of Friendship - Childhood t...

Make your own Happy - Tea Talk

Happy Monday! I pray that everyone out there reading this is safe and healthy! Lately, I have been thinking a lot about things that make me happy. Like, genuinely happy . Things that light my soul on fire, make me smile, and give me something to look forward to.  You see, this is an important question to ask yourself from time to time. Why? Because on those really hard & busy work days, on days where you feel a bit off or in a rut, days where you feel no one understands or everyone around you is too busy to listen... it helps to have a positive outlet. This positive outlet can be a number of things but notice the key word that I am using is positive. Something that will not harm you or anyone around you, but instead add value to your day/week!   After a few days of pondering on my "happy list", I realized that the things that truly make me happy are the small moments throughout my day. You know, those moments when you know God is winking at you like, "Girl, I got...
